It is a most attractive beat with about one-and-a-half miles of fishing, of which the top half is double bank. There are eight pools: Bar Stream, Bar, Kaimknowe, Scrogbank, Avenue, Birkie, Lodge and Stump. It is all bank fishing or wading with few interfering trees, so casting should be reasonably easy for beginners. There is one gillie provided to look after the four rods allowed to fish. He will meet you each morning, and advise you throughout the day. There is a new hut provided and access to the beat is from the car park off the main road.
